This album has grown on me a lot.
The Fame Monster will probably forever be her magnum opus, but I love
Joanne so much. HUGE improvement from
ARTPOP. I love these songs so much! The only one I don't use that much is "Hey Girl." (It's still good, I just personally don't like it as much as the rest of the album.)
Also, I think she appeals to a lot more people now that she's cut back on the antics and the overly sexual image. Working with Tony, as well as her Super Bowl and Oscars performances, really helped her a lot, and I think this kind of solidified it. I know a lot of people that like her, or at least acknowledge her talent, but wouldn't buy her music because they were tired of her gimmicks. This was probably a good move for her in the long run. It's a good mix of pop and the country/rock sound she was going for.
I really hope she has a few hits from this album. She deserves it! Is "A-YO" confirmed as the next single? It needs to be released ASAP!
