Hey everyone.
I don't post in Katy threads, but I am a huge fan of her's (Well since I watched her POM documentary). I wasn't really that into her though during the release of 'Teenage Dream (I mainly listen to country music) but eventually when I heard the album I loved it.
I am just curious if there has ever been an explanation to why it received such poor reviews? Personally, I find it one of the most cohesive and strongest pure-pop albums to be released since I was born and could start listening to music. I found every track could be a single, and that the album caught the essence of teenage years perfectly. As well, along with Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' and Britney Spears' 'Blackout', it's one of the very few pop albums I can listen to fully without ever getting sick. Perhaps this is a silly question to ask, it's just I never fully understood if the critics just reviewed the album because they dislike Katy personally or if they judged it all too prematurely.
If any of you can explain it to me, I'd love to hear!
