Hovi Star has won the Israeli national selection Rising Star with the song Made of stars. However, the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reports today that special meetings were held during the weekend as the song wasn’t accepted with open arms among the local and the international fans.

A petition was created online in order to raise the awareness about the song; as the Israeli fans agree that Hovi Star is a good performer but that Made of stars might not take the country to a good placing. It has managed to get more than 500 signatures during the last day.

He will record Ella Daniel’s version of "Somebody out there" that ended 2nd in the competition. Like people voted for HER and HER song. Not HIM with HER song.

Margaret deserved victory. The performance was a bit lackluster but the song alone was infinitely better than Szpak's.

Sorry but Margaret can't sing very well, despite the fact that Cool me Down is great song, I am happy that Szpak has won.

I've experienced the same meltdown when the MakeMakes won over Zoë last year. It must happen to every country once in 5 years or so.

Thank God I've never listened to 'Cool me down' to prevent me from such messes. Karma is truly a bitch to those who overestimate their own country.

To be fair, national selections are a lot different than the ESC itself.
She definitely didn't have the best vocals during the live performance and the energy could've been better, but even if she was screeching and just standing on stage the song alone should've carried her to win the national selection.....
