I thought it was because its not the type of song that would really do well with on-demand streaming (Spotify, etc) and the video came out in the middle of the week and didn't have any ads to get as many views. That part wasn't really unforeseeable or anything, I just forgot about 1D's songs ().
I still think that this has a potential to smash and that top 10 exposure would help this a lot,but if it doesn't it's no big deal.Only thing that I'm afraid about is that they will continue releasing safe commercial singles because of Unconditionally flopping.
Hasn't Wrecking Ball peaked on radio recently? Uncon is the perfect song for them to use in its place. I mean, Dr. Luke was even a producer on both (but only one of three amazing producers on Unconditionally).
I think this song is done, L.A. stations are already playing Dark Horse, which probably means that Capitol has green-lighted it as the second official single
There are two stations that have DH on power rotation right now, too (Houston and Indianapolis).

They've both had it in power rotation for 3/4 weeks now. The issue is that now other stations are starting to pick it up to. But yeah, everyone loves it here in Indy; smash waiting to happen tbh.
