Bridgit: Hello, this is Bridgit Mendler and you're watching my MTV News interview.
Interviewer: So, Bridgit, your song topped in 10 place on CAL charts. How do you feel about that?
Bridgit: Well, it was a difficult weak, because big names in the industry were releasing their singles, and I'm not that big, yet. I'm happy that now I can tell everyone that I have top 10 song, it was my dream to have a hit, but I was actually expecting at least sixth place. But you know, life is life, and now it's the second week, so I'll make sure to promote my single even harder. And I've sold 480,000 copies, so it's not that bad.
Interviewer: You're right now in the studio, recording your next album. What can we expect?
Bridgit: I don't have that many surprises on this album, I'm rapping on one or two songs too, but you've already heard me rapping, or should I say talking, I wouldn't call it rap actually, just fast talking. And, um, I've recorded a song with Ke$ha!
Interviewer: Oh, really? Can you tell something about the collaboration?
Bridgit: We recently met in studio, and she was really awesome, and um I had unfinished song, then she took a look and was like 'this is a f*cking jam!' and I literally melt down when she said she would like to write the rest of the lyrics. She wrote the rest of the lyrics and I was like I bet your voice would sound really awesome on this song and somehow we ended up infront of microphones recording our parts of the song. The song is called Dancehall, aaaand I really like this song, it's amazing, and that's why I might put it out as a single sometime, or maybe just like promo song, or a treath for the fans. We'll see.
Interviewer: And the album is coming out?... Do you have a title for it?
Bridgit: Yes, I have the title, and it starts and ends with letter E. I don't know yet when it's coming out, but I hope soon as possible, maybe by the end of the month, I don't know when it'll be done or when I'll be ready to let it go. It's like my baby, I want it to be perfect before I let it go away.

MTV UK and MTV Europe plays new version of Light Of You video




MTV UK and other MTV channels in Europe played a new version of Light Of You video that was created just for Europe. After the song got a lot of attention in UK and Europe, Bridgit and her label decided to create a new video that was just for that continent. Video was shot in dark loft in new york, with ten back up dancers. Choreography for the video was created by talented and really known hip-hop choreographer Ian Eastwood. Simple video shows, how ten dancers with light-sticks along with Bridgit are lighting up the whole place, and it becomes like a little their own fun party. Bridgit said that the message behind the video is 'we can light up the night or dark places just by being there. Some people can make the party funnier and happier even with walking to the place.' Bridgit revealed, that it was the funniest video to shoot yet, because it was like their little party, running around with lightsticks just lightning up the place.

Bridgit Mendler performs on Much Music




Bridgit Mendler performed Light Of You, her latest top ten single, on Much Music show. She was wearing some black leggings and loose white, sleeveless shirt. Her beautiful blonde hair was pushed to one side with some braids, making it look more unique and interesting. Crowd was standing next to stage, so everyone could grab and reach Bridgit while she was performing, and that made the performance more intimate and fun. Everyone was having fun, dancing along to the song with Bridgit, and shouting the lyrics out loud. Four back up dancers helped her with the performance, making it even better to watch.

What an amazing single LaToya! It's very pop with a urban vibe? What made you want to release it?
I was inspired by Britney's 'Work Bitch' and I wanted to make a empowering song like that except better so I did. It's called 'Get Loose Bitch'.
