I don't get it, Twilight is considered literature, while Harry Potter is considered child literature, when the case is: Harry Potter has a much more developed story, background, deeper and meaningful writing than Twilight...
I'm not here for vampires who don't like blood and who shines in the sun

Not in the UK it isn't! I think generally Harry Potter is much more respected than Twilight. I like the books, but Stephenie is not a good writer. Her ideas are good but she doesn't develop them well. Her storylines are incredibly basic, I read the books because I like the characters, and that's the only reason. Large chunks of them are filled with filler content which is entirely pointless, and that makes for a boring read.
Harry Potter will be forever remembered as an all-time classic. The series is a masterpiece. They are my favourite books and I don't think that status will change because they were part of my childhood. Adults adore the series too, it's not confined solely to children. The films do not do the books justice. Twilight has hype, but HP had hype and critical acclaim. It was groundbreaking. I queued for 8 hours for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the series set records and earned its place in history. Twilight will probably be forgotten.

I hope.
Harry Potter is epic
The books, movies, video games, J. K. Rowling ******** all over that story-less vampire/werewolves romantic teen 5-year-old children ********.

Both the Harry Potters books & movies destroy everything about the Twilight series
11/16/2001 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone $976,457,891 $125,000,000
11/15/2002 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets $878,987,880 $100,000,000
6/4/2004 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban $795,538,952 $130,000,000
11/18/2005 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire $896,013,036 $150,000,000
7/11/2007 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix $938,468,864 $150,000,000
7/15/2009 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince $937,499,905 $250,000,000
Bolded = Worldwide Gross
Italicized = Budget
The numbers are impressive & the movies well outsold their budget
Now Twilight...
11/21/2008 Twilight $396,439,854 $37,000,000
11/20/2009 The Twilight Saga: New Moon $702,623,634 $50,000,000
Although Twilight outsold its budget better than HP, the worldwide grosses are not nearly as impressive.

^ Eclipse will probably outdo New Moon's gross...
as you said, Twilight is having a better money return than Harry Potter, but it lacks the quality Harry Potter does and also the talent of the actors, which HP actors have...

Which movie is going to be number one this weekend? Voice your opinions.
I think Toy Story 3 has it on lock. Knight & Day is looking like a big flop already. It opened with $3 million on Wednesday.
Movies this summer aren't faring to well. Unfortunately.

"Toy Story 3" set to crush Cruise and Sandler movies
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Tom Cruise and Adam Sandler will go head-to-head at the weekend box office in North America, but neither will be a match for the animated heroes of reigning champ "Toy Story 3."
Cruise's action comedy "Knight and Day," looking to jump-start the weekend, didn't exactly gun its engines as it opened Wednesday to $3.8 million.
With a Friday-to-Saturday figure on one side or the other of the $20 million mark, "Knight" would end its first five days somewhere in the $20 million-plus range.
The Fox/New Regency project, which reportedly cost $117 million to produce, is seen as something of an important career resuscitator for both Cruise and co-star Cameron Diaz.
Sandler, looking to rebound from last year's underperformer "Funny People," joins forces with Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider in the $70 million Sony comedy"Grown Ups," which should open at No. 2 in the $40 million range.
Disney/Pixar's "Toy Story 3," in the wake of its phenomenal $110 million opening last weekend, will repeat at No. 1 with a three-day haul between $55 million and $66 million.
Limited openers include National Geographic's release of the Afghanistan-set, Sundance-winning documentary "Restrepo," directed by Tim Hetherington and journalist Sebastian Junger, and Sony Pictures Classics' romantic drama "Wild Grass" from eminent French director Alain Resnais.

I don't think so. I think Eclipse will end up between $220-250 million total gross.

New Moon dropped off so quickly, because people didn't like it. The franchise has a bad reputation now so I think it will effect Eclipse. When New Moon was released a lot of the people who went to see it were casual viewers who wanted to see what the hype was about, I don't think they will be going back!

Wow, numbers increased this week. Not by much but still. Usually premiere ratings are higher. Glad to see this doing well.

The numbers actually increased AGAIN and this time for quite a relevant margin. Is this show really this good?
