+ Serena had to play 5 years longer to probably equal Steffi's record and 6 years to probably top it.
Steffi's career was cut short due to injuries and her being forced to play with a wooden racket at the beginning of her time.
Serena will probably rank #1 this year end (her 6th), Steffi Graf was ranked #1 at the end of 8 seasons.

Umm Serena can definitely reach that first one. 3 years ago when she first got the number one ranking since 2010 she was only at 130 weeks. No one believed she would get anywhere near 377. 3 years later she's at 300. 377 is obtainable assuming she wants to play into 2018. It's literally about completing this season and playing one more full season as number one because she passes 377 the week of the AO 2018
But Serena is already GOAT and it'll be cemented after she passes 24 next year. But Steffi's career definitely was not cut short, she didn't have it in her to continue playing
