It's definitely allowed to describe the sound of your song, but it's not necessary and it won't affect your score. You can include the description though and I'll forward it to the judges along with the lyrics

It was called "Better Days" and it was about a gay couple surviving discrimination and homophobia but the verses were tongue in cheek and then the chorus was serious

I think I just like having things clearly laid out. It helps me focus a bit.
I'm pretty sure its just the lyrics alone. You know how on The Voice they don't have time to like describe their struggle and life story or w/e like they do on Idol or X Factor? Its the same as that.

Mine is about being gay too. (the judges are going to totally know which one is mine with all these hints)

If I don't get a chorus tomorrow, I'm going to actually cry.
In one of last season's challenges, I didn't have a chorus until 35 minutes before the deadline and then it hit me out of nowhere. So, just be patient and not too hard on yourself
