Okay I've got lots of things to say!
1) Please answer what time you want the finale if you haven't already. Pleeeeeaaassseee. Pleath.
2) I updated all the quick links in the OP! Know that it's there if you want to find an old challenge or post.
3) I wanted to share some of the responses in the feedback form anonymously so it's not so secretive! (These aren't all the questions, nor are they all the responses.)
In retrospect, was this game a mess? What can be done in the future to prevent messiness?

Yes, but it wasn't the host's doing. The reasons for quitting were often unusual and mostly centred around the usage of powers and other players' decisions. All I can say is that building a strong community (one who actually posts enthusiastically and is willing to have fun) might help because otherwise you get a group of people who feel entitled and angry.
Yes it was lowkey a mess sometimes, but preventing it is almost impossible. I would limit the abilities of the powers, the influence to change an elimination was too messy.

How do you feel about the powers? Should they have been more important? Less important?

Less powers, or powers that don't have any influence on elimination. And maybe not only post-orientated but also that you can achieve points if, for example, you score 3 straight #1s
Powers were pretty useless in my opinion, they should be more powerful.
I feel like the powers were such a non-event this season. No one really used theirs, except like 2-3 occasions.

Overall, I'm worried about how another season might go. What are some changes I can make to ensure a better season for everyone if there's a next time?

Maybe changing just one of these elements slightly would be enough, but the change would have to be for in order to better the game, not just a change for changing's sake. Reduce the reliance on powers, spend more time with introductions and building a network that values creativity and strong entries. Maybe give the judges more guidance on judging as well to help guide the entries more and not make it just like they're sitting there judging you. I would like another season, but I could see where the hesitation would come from. Make a disclaimer like: if you're not serious and not interested in having fun then stay out!

Start it during the summertime (May/June). More people will be available.
Just give a really stern heads up about not quitting. Mention what happened this season, and how you won't tolerate that again, so if someone signs up, they better be in it to win it.

After giving it some thought I think there will be a next season, but it will definitely start in May or June!
