2Heart were clearly going to flop though. As soon as you are out of a group context, fandom interest drops. Likewise, both groups lack strong public interest as a whole entity so when subunits are involved, public interest will also be a fraction of that for the full groups.

At least we know SM are open to other sub-units though.

I want SHY to happen so bad and like you said it's nice to see them doing different sub units.
SHY wont happen for reasons being those three get **** on the most out of all the girls in SNSD.
Sooyoung shot scenes for the Mr Mr MV and they didn't even use them

Sooyoung while not the strongest singer can command a dance floor same with Yuri and Hyoyeon.
They could be the urban answer to TTS while TTS has vocals SHY has all around performance.

I don't understand why it hasn't happened yet.

I just want something decent from SNSD. I don't care if it is music, visuals or performance but at this stage, a SHY subunit will at least have the performances on lock whereas any alternatives or even the full group won't even have that.

That or a Sooyoung Japanese debut, provided she can sleep her way to a few MusicStation performances.

That's hardly true.

Anyway I hope SM allow Toheart to have another chance, with something more mature and TVXQ-like, which I was hoping for in the first place. Toheart is pretty aegyo, in comparison to their respective groups anyway. Especially their interview shtick with the "One heart! Two heart!" stuff. They are adorbs though.

SHINee sold, on average (in 2013 for singles) 600k. Infinite have only 6 top 10 hits and 2 top 5.

I don't know much about Infinite, but I thought there was a big thing that caused SHINee and EXO fans to argue, because SHINee crossed (or nearly did) 1M sales over their 2013 releases and they were being forgotten about over EXO. I don't know though, I don't check up on these things. Either way, while neither groups are the biggest male groups in the market, neither are irrelevant either. Not to the point there'd be no interest in a subunit.

and as for ToHeart, it felt more like a one-off project to let Infinite fans become familiar with their new contract with SM i mean considering the backlash SM got after they merged with Woolim, it just felt like a smart choice that they do a sub-unit thing, regardless of it flopping or not, to reassure their fans. and isn't Infinite having a comeback in april?
