+10 extra for any non-Big 4 format (Big 4 = Pop, HAC, Rhythmic, AC)
Certain combos could also be worth extra, but I'm still working the kinks out.

Great idea. I was not trying to be critical, as I really did not realize it was yours. I incorrectly thought you had read it out of a magazine, but my migraines medicine has badly messed up my memory.
The formula you had was a good start, but I just thought songs needed mor credit for reaching more formats. I am glad you liked my insight, and thought the ideas were good, as so many songs are going to so many formats these days (Radioactive (9), Royals (10), Happy, All Of Me, and the record holder Rolling In The Deep, which reached the chart on 12 different formats).
I also thought of another quadrage to go along with the "Pop Quadrage" (Top 40/Hot AC/Rhythmic/AC). It should have been obvious to me since I write about these four sub-formats every week. The "Rock Quadrage" includes Active Rock, Alternative Rock, Heritage/Mainstream Rock, and Triple A Rock.
We can tinker with the point systems. I just remembered last night there have been a lot of songs that crossed over to an amazing number of formats, even if the song only scraped the lower parts of some of the other charts. The fact the other formats picked up the songs at all were amazing, and that needs to be taken into consideration as a positive when measuring a songs crossover strength.
