the #NewRules thing sounded cool at first, but yea, it doesn't work out in the long run. on top of the different expectations set for a female pop star vs male hip-hop artists, the method wouldn't be too good for Beyoncé. although i think she should utilize some of the ideas, especially making use of her increased social media presence. she could do so much with revealing singles, artwork, etc thru her instagram, facebook and website.

As much as I wanted it every Tuesday since February 2012, I rather her take another year and create a 10time grammy award wining,album of the year,masterpiece. This better be a thriller sized era.
But if Kanye released singles after the release like Jay is doing he would be selling more now. I think it could work for B. I mean you have to be a big arist to do it and B is.
Kanye's album has been forgotten about. Every artist needs hype to push album sales, especially pop artists And it's best that they utilize a single to build hype.
New rules would have messy numbers especially WW. her core fans are still your average pop music fan therefore she needs to build up hype
there are easy ways to hype though. Jus set a date and release "trailer" like videos with a sort of countdown. Mix some altered isnrumental snippets through it and it will get loads of people excited, without even a single out
New rules doesnt mean that she has to do exactly what Jay/Kanye did.

You guys are just looking at first week numbers. What about the longer run. SINGLES/promo push album sells. We were going off over the messy single release and promo for 4. Trust, if Jay-Z first week numbers weren't good you wouldn't be sitting here wanting B to do it. Coming off not so commercial successful era, the GP/buyers need to have a clear vision with this era. Dropping single/video/album on the same day would be a mess. We didn't buy the singles with 4, u see how that turned out.
Beyonce will definitely be using NewRules. But I don't think she's just going to copy what Jay and Kanye did. She'll probably do things unconventionally (we already know she is) but still have a first single etc.
. She should've just held off on the SB, doc, and etc. if she knew damn well the album wasn't or even closed to being the exact way she wanted it. Hopefully she learned from 4 but, By the looks of it she hasn't.
And I know I'm ranting and might not even seem like a real stan but I'm fed up. She has all these opportunities to slay but chooses for whatever reason to pass them up.
