Out of all the basic (stats-wise) birds Staraptor is the only that has any use after the 4th badge.

Too bad Pidgeot was given such terrible attack stat, its design is epic.

I always have the bad habit of being anal about making sure I have a set list of 6 Pokemon I'm going to use for the playthrough and I never catch anything else besides those six

With Pokemon X&Y imma catch and train and Pokemon I think looks interesting, and try to have rotational teams for once

Noctowl is one of my all time favorite flying types (and I LOVE Pidgeot too).
