I second this btw.
I'm not trying to be super edgy and cool with my 24 years of age when I think that mainstream media and society are extremely conservative, uptight and sensationalist and need to relax. It doesn't surprise me that of all the little bits we have seen and heard of Ke$ha lately, news sources pick out THIS one tweet + twitpic and blow it out of proportion.

part of the reason why mainstream artists usually have a bad reputation and are unpopular with hipsters and anti-mainstream people in general: paparazzi and therefor magazines and blogs will notice and report something like this when for instance a pop star does it, but no one will ever know when artists do it who aren't as popular. People won't read about it then and not have a negative impression, nor think those lesser known artists are "attention-whoring" (
