Call me delusional, but Born This Way was amazing and she will destroy that record and have it smashed into oblivion with ARTPOP

Maybe she's going to perform on SNL on the 26th or she's planning to start the album promo and she wants to perform Venus too.

Forget the SNL thing, I just looked for the 26th episode and it's already booked for other people.

Due to the possibility there's going to be little to no promo in the US, at least at the beginning of the Venus release anyway, (I hope this is the case too, I want her to stick around Europe and other parts of the world for a while promoting the album) it's not like it matters that much. She can get away with a Friday release in the US if she can stay stable into the week and if Applause is anything to by, we can assume it'll have longevity anyway.

It's the UK where a Friday release is a problem. She'll only have three days of sales again and the Sunday releases on the 27th will cockblock her immediately, unless she can get promo lined up. And assuming the song is good too.

And she has Foxes and One Direction on the Sunday, so she's for sure getting cockblocked. Foxes isn't huge, but Youth has been getting a lot of TV promo and could hit Top 5, and One Direction is One Direction, questioning their power to hit #1 is silly.

There's actually no guarantee of her cracking the top in the UK on the Friday either, James Arthur and Lorde are releasing on the 20th and they'll still have a high amount of power from the Sunday before, it was the same situation with Ellie Goulding when Applause was released here.
