No different from Britney winning the Millennium Award at the BBMA's with Glory underperforming a few months later.
These are vanity awards for artists whose releases tank because the GP isn't here for them anymore. Shania, for the most part, isn't even releasing new material anymore other than GH albums.
Shania is an icon/queen only in Canada. In the States, no one cares for her.
Good for Shania for being more of Canadian household name than Avril is atm.

That's what songs from Let Go would've sounded like had EDM been a thing back in the 00's. The Matrix's guitars and drums would've been replaced by synths and dancebeats.
