I love the RH Tour version of True Blue. I don't like the production on the album but I love the song itself.

Dear Jessie is fantastic, after the whole turmoil of the album it kind of feels like she's disassociating from all the emotional trauma she's clearly facing. I'm probably reading too deeply but that's just how the song feels because it's so bizarre and really doesn't fit the rest of the album at all, but in that context it makes perfect sense. Obviously that's not the real story behind the song but a stan can speculate.
