I just watched Insidious, loved it, one of the best horror movies I've seen without using blood everywhere or stuff like that. Paranormal activity saga should learn of this movie how you can scare people with a short amount of money
Ummm....the Paranormal people are the ones that made Insidious, and PA was the movie that brought back super low budget horror flicks.
The last movie I saw was Blue Valentine. Absolutely phenomenal acting. The story was good (not amazing) but the realness of it all really made it a tearjerker.
The Ides of March.6/10. A well-acted, entertaining movie that doesn't stick with you after it's over.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona.10/10. I was impressed. I guess I loved it so much because I was really identified with some characters, and I love Europe. The performanches were amazing. Woody Allen is brilliant.
Final Destination 5.8/10. I'm a fan of this franchise. The 4th installment wasn't my favorite of all. It was lacking the element of thrilling excitement that the first three had. The 5th is probably now my second favorite after the third one. I loved the twist and the different direction of turning events.
Mientras Duermes (Sleep Tight).3/5. I usually like Spanish movies, this one I didn't. I just thought it never went anywhere, it wasn't even a topic you'd want to see in a movie. It was just depressing and there's nothing to it.
Contagion.8/10. I liked that it was based on a real virus, it could've had happened. As a medical student I learned a lot, and it was a nail-biting experience. What bothered me it's that it started strong and at the end it felt flat.
Now that's a movie! Great Demme direction (and oh how I love
that close up's he adores to do), and actors were all on point.
And some scenes are just mindblowing.
10/10
Righteous Kill
Two amazing actors in such mediocore movie. The
only thing that saved the movie were Robert De
Niro and Al Pacino. And the 50 Cent acting was .
I saw The Artist yesterday. I thought it was charming but I'm kind of baffled at how this is in the front running to win Best Picture at the Oscars. I liked it though.
