It was released as the third single from the album on March 22, 1998 by Columbia Records. Like "Butterfly," "Breakdown" received a limited worldwide release due to Carey's conflict at the time with Columbia.

What's with the title track always managing to sneak up and beat the competition though? Breakdown and The Roof are the fan favorites! I remember some big rate with I think Madonna Janet and Kylie's 1997/1998 albums Butterfly also won amazing

The Roof 1/5 I really don't understand you guys that hate the roof. Should have been 1 or 2

Breakdown 4/5 Should have been third imo
