The packaging is the funnest part though. I like to own things that I like, not to mention it's a historic album and just owning it will give you cred in the future and mean something special. Like when you go through you parents records (vinyls) and find an iconic album you didn't know they owned/liked and realize how cool they were at your age.

on a sidenote, I'm glad that my new fave (Beyonce) did not punch out my old and current fave (Britney)'s record for 1st week female album sales, which would probably have been a possibility had she released on a wednesday or even Thursday

Not surprised there. Now the question is will her single be as successful as this album? A lot of people probably will be dragging her if her new single fail to enter Top 10. And how will it do on 2nd week? Will it sustain the sales or decline by 80% plus?

If her singles flop and her album does well they have nothing to say. Because it's an even bigger accomplishment in 2013/14 to have an album that's massive. It means people just want the full Beyonce experience.

Well, based on reports throughout the weekend she did about:

430k on day 1
120k on day 2
80k on day 3

So she might have a big decline, but then again, this is gonna be the biggest shopping week of the year so everybody will beneficiate.

How is Justin local? He's sold more than 4 million copies of his latest effort worldwide, he would probably end up selling like 6 million or more when it's all said and done. iTunes isn't that big outside the US, Beyoncé sold more than 210,000 digital copies of her album worldwide in just three days. Anything won't be good enough for you.

iTunes isn't even that global, I don't have all the specifics but I know it's not the primary music market everywhere like it is in America. Yet y'all are trying to shade for selling 200k on iTunes internationally in 3 days.

Her 200,000 sold outside of the US in 3 days alone is higher than the total (digital and physical) sold by Miley Cyrus and by Katy Perry.
