Singer Christina Aguilera is hoping to make her acting debut in the new film about pin-up icon Jeanne Carmen.

Rumour has it that Aguilera has been added to the long list of ?actresses? hoping to make the role of Carmen their own.

Jeanne Carmen the best friend of Marilyn Monroe as well as a B-movie actress in the 1950?s, she starred in ?Untamed Youth? and ?War Drums? before leaving Hollywood for good after the death of Monroe.

Aguilera, an acting novice will be competing with the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Scarlett Johansson for the role.

Maybe all that red lipstick will give her an edge on the competition?

acc to him, she was (she died just a week ago) a big fan of Christina, and actually had HER as the first-hand choice for the role!

she (RCA) needs to understand the R&B potential she has....she wanted to release "impossible", but RCA choosed "the voice within"...she had a couple of real r&b gems on back to basics...instead they released hurt and candyman, and the album died...next time she HAS to release the r&b songs as well...

oh and the BET awards yeah...that was when she performed Whitney´s "i wanna run to you" and Whitney after that p/f said to Christina on stage:

"first of all, i wanna thank ms. Christina, i really wanna thank you! you are one that i truly enjoy in today´s music!
You´ve done the best rendition of "i wanna run to you" besides myself!"
