I was actually thinking about what other options someone could use for the MONO trinity and I was thinking Stay (Rihanna) / Stay Stay Stay (Taylor Swift) / Stay Away (Charli XCX) might be really interesting since it has all the dimensions and back and forth.

Let me patent this idea for next season

By the way, I don't remember if this was on the survey but I was curious to know what everyone thought about the idea of having banned artists? Personally I kind of liked it since it added more of an element to the challenge. Thoughts?

I liked it. I mean they are so many artists. It really didn't matter that much even with the three strikes thing.

The banned artists list was good and made things interesting. There's no fun in just rehashing the same 20 pop girls over and over, and while a lot of people wouldn't do this anyway, a lot of people probably would have and it just forces people (myself included) to think outside of their comfort zone a bit.

I'm happy to hear you liked it! There are so many same/similar-titled songs out there that I don't think finding three songs would necessarily be the challenge but linking them in a way that shows that they all tell a different story about a common theme is what aided my decision to go with the Mono trinity.

My initial concept (which I almost submitted) was a Visual trinity where three songs were to be selected based on them having a music video that tied in with the meaning of the song in a creative way, but not only did this seem too similar to the Music Video trinity in Season 2 (in which only the music video was judged), there wasn't necessarily a connection between the three songs/music videos, so I scrapped that one. I was going to go with Bad Girls by M.I.A., Thriller by Michael Jackson and Wide Awake by Katy Perry.

It ****ed me over a couple times, though, because I would come up with a concept, and then find out one of the artists was on the list. I think it's something that should be carried over into future seasons.

Just did this! If anyone else is terrible like me and hasn't done it yet, do it!! These things really help hosts out and it takes 2-3 minutes at most to fill in the entire form, even when every question is optional.
