Argentina lost 4:0 last WC and while they did get better they're not good enough. On the ither hand, they're much more defensive and Germany usually struggles with defensive teams.
In four years time, everything could change. I mean we can't really discount Argentina, they have a really good defense and passing which Germany struggles with. Germany has the upper hand but Argentina isn't really that far off. Football is about opportunities and positioning and a bit of luck and a hella skill.
Argentina has also the advantage of being seen as an underdog and that could be an ace in itself.
