What other rockier songs have been in the iTunes Top 10 this year?
Has it only been twenty one pilots and X Ambassadors? This feel like the first time ages so many songs have so much guitar in them / lean rockier in the Top 10. I'd ki'd if Gaga inspired some small pop-rock resurgence.
Pardon? It's truth, he might've predicted that neither of the songs would've gone #1 but that doesn't mean that it's 100% accurate and less to use it as a receipts. And I'm good at maths, thanks for your concern!
Anyway, MM is freefalling now that the discount is gone. It drop like it's hot on the Hot 100
It's pretty obvious that it wouldn't have gone #1.
It would have needed to sell more than it did. Don't see why it would have. Some people didn't buy it cause they thought "oh it already is #1, I don't need to" or what?
Frank Ocean's album at #15. I guess it's a more exciting week on the albums chart than usual. I mean, obviously it'll fly up by tomorrow after the first day rush but still.
Because it's unfair to the rest of the songs, especially if they're discounted for whole months
This is not a valid excuse for wanting good deals to stop for customers. Some songs get huge radio airplay even when they are trash + payola. But I've never seen you say that was unfair. As Billboard reported yesterday, discounting tracks is the new marketing tool used by labels to give some songs an extra boost. They also noted that the iTunes discounts effect wears off after 2 weeks. So really, anything after that period is due to the song quality and most importantly it's a very good deal for people who still buy music.
