Choose Your Battles (aka her magnum opus) took 6 months to write, record and produce.
Sure, she can write a lot of songs in 4 months but producing them is another thing. Especially if her producers live in Sweden.

She needs to be more efficient or choose better songs. Bad Photograph's lyrics alone destroy 80 percent of PRISM, same with Passenger. Idk how she chooses what to include on the album. She wrote a lot for PRISM.

Sometimes she really has a flop taste. "Passenger" is probably the best song off BJ. She could have included it on PRISM. And have we ever got the Bad Photographs' lyrics? Am I a flop stan?

she can't do another generic, cookie-cutter pop album.

it needs to be a mix of her singer-songwriter-y roots (more acoustic puLEASE) as well as some pop rock. no more silly dance or electronic influence, it's BEYOND dated.

i personally want the love child of her old unique, quirky lyrics from unreleased/OOTB and the mature, meaningful lyrics of the best of Prism, especially BTGOG and CYB. sound-wise, acoustic singer-songwriter pop rock vibe mixed with the sound she was going off of in the Prism bonus tracks.

no Roars, Birthdays, TIHWDs, or anything stupid like that. no EDM, no electronic (it's cute, but over). just an artistic, meaningful, quality pop rock alternative-y album

So I just finished listening to Katy's interview with Ryan Seacrest literally seconds ago and when he asked her about new music, she said she really doesn't like making them while's she's on the road nor will she do it when she takes the time off this coming summer. She said all she's doing at the moment is taking notes and will probably stay that way until she gets enough 'life experiences' for songwriting material.

I dont get why ppl think she has new music written, worked on, ect... she's been saying the "I need to take time off so I can live and write and work on an album" since she was 17. She had nothing written for PRISM, just notes/ideas here and there... which honestly, is what I do in my daily life just cuz I think it's a great way to learn and be creative. lol So I assume she still does that.
