If the "real 1st single" is indeed coming soon as some are claiming, I wouldn't be surprised if she promotes that one more aka with more than 1 televised performance. FFS was thrown out there, performed once, and now climbing only based on her name.
For those who still think FFS was R8's lead single : if it was, she would've probably premiered it on a radio like TTS, she wouldn't have presented it the way she did (as a first glimpse), she would have performed/promoted it more than just once, and it's obvious the real lead single who will promote / represent the album will be a solo song and a bigger one. Plus RDiva said so, and Rihanna's team allowed them to reveal these infos about R8 yesterday. Also, she did a secret video shoot in Cali last December.
Radio deal or not, a first single isn't always the album's lead single. A lead single is simply the song from an album who will be used to promote / sell the album. Rih could've even released 3 songs with radio deals or not before dropping the lead single. With HOME coming in 3 weeks, we all know she won't promote/perform FFS again, I think by releasing FFS she just wanted her comeback single to be a song from R8 and not from HOME, also to start building hype for the album and to release a song with Kanye on it regarding the tour. R8's real promo will start when the album's release date will be announced, as she always does, or maybe even only when the album drop, if it comes out shortly after the lead single, as it's rumoured to be.

The situation was sooo confusing 2/3 weeks ago, I'm glad it was finally cleared up. That also explains why FFS was released so close to HOME's 1st single, Rih & her team aren't stupid.
I also believe FFS was just to link Kanye and Rihanna for the joint tour.
Getting a free spot at the Grammys and being able to collab with a legend is also a nice bonus
Why in the world would she perform something at THE GRAMMYS of all places if it isn't a real single? And what is a "real" single anway? She released it, it's a single, it should be promoted!
