I know you probably meant this as shade, but I actually agree with you. She has a lot of unreleased that are better than Birthday.
However she knows that it's maxed out, reached the ceiling now like pop rock was a dead end in 2009.
The direction of her next album is always big uncertainty for us.
That's true. She can't keep releasing songs like TIHWD and Roar. She's a savvy busynesswoman so I think she'll do the right thing whatever that is.
I think her next record will be pure pop like PRISM and TD and it wont have any dominating genre/sub-genre in particular. Like there's so much variety in both albums but there's no cohesion.
PRISM is all about variety. Roar-LL-WOA-Dark Horse-TIHWD-Spiritual-ChooseYourBattles. As Cupcake said, there's no cohesion but honestly...I prefer this, than 12 same and generic pop songs.
