Screw the critics. Musketeers slayed.
I think the reason it got such bad ratings is because they don't like Paul W.S. Anderson's direction. Just like Resident Evil, let me quote this "quote to quote" "It's noooottttttt exactly like the video game, omg, I'm crying right now, screw you Paul, screw Resident Evil
"
No but seriously, I honestly ain't a huge fan of the Three Musketeers, never really seen any of them, but this adaption was just amazing. I won't say the acting was over the top perfect, but lead roles Milla Jovovich just blew me away. She actually had a script unlike the horrible dialogue Paul gave her in Resident Evil where she barely said anything. But Milla had some pretty intense action sequences and some interesting lines.
Logan Lerman started off alright, like a typical Percy Jackson direction, but eventually when the action started, HE ****ING SLAYED ME. He makes Percy Jackson look like a kiddie movie, ohhh wait. Nevermind, but no. He did some pretty hardcore stunts that not even Milla Jovovich could do. His acting was really strong once it kicked off, I was shocked. He had the finale fight sequence at the end and let me say, it's epic. There is blood, yes. BLOOD.
Orlando Bloom, like Pirates was amazing. I think you know already what to expect from his known role.
The CGI wasn't too over-whelming like most made it out to be, maybe a tad bit for the 17th Century, but what do you expect from a Paul adaption? Yes the CGI was intense and so was the action. But overall it was amazing. Milla's beginning scene dodging the bullets
There was a lot of humor in it though, but like an adaption from Paul, what do ya expect. I highly recommend.
