Thanks so much for this thread! Y'all are amazing for putting up with this like y'all are doing!
I have a question too:
I once dated a guy for a while (1-2 months) and he visited me two times, always for almost an entire week. Everything was perfect (so it seemed), but he just stopped texting me for no reason at all. Just like, from one day to the other. We literally spoke 4 entire hours the day beforehand, and a day or two later, he didnt reply to me anymore (we had intercourse, but always safe I believe. There was one incident where I am not 100% sure, but like 95%, because I didn't see him putting the condom over since I was already turned on my back... I do however think he still put it on, but it's been kinda blurry to be honest).
After some time, I got the flu. Nothing else, just the flu. I was actually worried cause usually, one tends to gets the flu with other symptoms like headaches, stomach aches, etc. But nothing was the case for me.
To make a long story short: I got diagnosed with glandular fever and the cytomegalovirus (even tho I didnt have any pain with my throat whatsoever). I told my doctor about my sexuality and I was really worried cause I read that HIV+ sometimes gets confused with the glandular fever (and the fact that this guy just left me for no good reasons really made everything so damn scary and his motives so suspicious to me). So I insisted on being tested on HIV 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months later (all of them were the big blood tests). All tests were negative.
I am wondering now, whether I can feel safe or not, cause it's been a while since then and I haven't tested myself ever since cause I didn't have any sex since then.
Thanks in advance
