it's a shame she cares so much about the charts and being popular that she is moving backwards.

An artist who has done so many different kinds of music, bubblegum pop, rock-influenced pop, edm, jazz is bound to repeat herself at some point.
Cool hashtag though.

I hope that means we'll get a quality album and not noisy garbage like ARTPOP

Wait...people genuinely think she's going to give copies of her old hits? That she and RedOne are just going to give us 2009 dance/pop in her post-C2C 2016 career? That she, her management and her label would be fine with that? Ok.
Way to be literal.

But you have SIA on your signature ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif)
I mean, she went mainstream and now she's releasing the exact same sound from her last album.

This is how music labels think, though. Look at Kesha, Pitbull, Rihanna, etc... when the artists tries to serve "experimental"...and it flops... the label steps in and makes the music formulaic again.

Stop judging a f***ing album before it is f***ing out
Stop dragging this thread, Elton doesn't even know Gaga's discography enough to compare songs, he was just trying to promo her. Heck, he thought the song's called You and Me.
Also, if you stan for anything other than Gaga, Adele or Beyonce; I'd love for you to shut up about expecting "experimental"or "fresh" material.
There's a reason why Lady Gaga is Lady Gaga, I trust her fully.

Out of those only MJ and Bowie make sense. Madge has definitely repeated herself, Beyonce is pretty much doing the same crap all the time and let me not talk about Lana at all, I'm gonna assume this was a joke.
Gaga doing dance-pop again is nothing to be ashamed of considering she's been shaking things up her entire career. Not to mention that with co-writers like Diane Warren and Elton John her music is bound to sound different.

none of beys albums sound the same, none of lana's albums sound the same. You're rage and envy will not change facts, Lana hasn't run back to the born to die sound in desperate pursuit of a hit or platinum plaque.
When has madonna repeated herself? none of her albums sound the same.

I don't understand the narrative of her "repeating" herself when it was Elton who said that he felt these songs were the "new" BR/Y&I. That's Elton trying to relate the newer songs to her older music. It doesn't mean she's making the same sound. Not to mention, this album is her most diverse in terms of co-writers and producers. The only one being reused at this moment is RedOne. I have my personal gripes with RedOne, but I still don't see how this means she's repeating herself? Michael Jackson worked well with Quincy Jones, that doesn't mean MJ was repeating himself for using him again lol.

isn't that what we are discussing? Not y'all dismissing Elton.. like he is a random critic and not a renowned music legend.

Who said I was dismissing him? ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif) Why are you dancing around my point?
Elton clearly cares about her, but he just used an example of music from "the early stuff" which tbh, is more of an insult to Gaga, because clearly Bad Romance, and You & I are not "the early stuff".
