The 4th wall she maintains is impressive in an age where social media and a perceived closeness to celebrities dominates pop culture. But it also makes her very boring. People still love her because she has a level of artistry as a performer that makes her lack of charisma off stage acceptable and keeps her stan-worthy. But I also think this whole thing about her not talking to the media much came about just because she's a ditz. Beyonce may be nice or whatever, but I've never heard anything substantial, meaningful or even interesting come out of her mouth. bey hasn't done any live uncut interviews since like the year 2000. You just want bey to be caught up in some scandal. staged! controlled! edited! manufactured! As if you hang out with her day to day and know her to be any different than in her personal videos. After 17 years she has earned her spot on the throne. She doesn't have to beg, plead or convince anyone to like her. Radio promo tours, interviews, tv shows are for people who are looking to reach or gain an audience. Bey's audience is at the tip of her toes. The bey fans who feel some kind of way about it, can just go ahead and jump ship. Bey will not put on a dog and pony show to sell 3 extra copies.
