Ultraviolence sounded like the same song over & over again to be honest, I mean Pretty When I Cry & Sad Girl are literally replicas of one another. I am highly aware of the fact that I only love it because I'm a die hard fan. Not many people would fall in love with her on the basis of UV. BTD is more diverse & more attention grabbing. Less monotonous.

I'm going to disagree with that; I think Ultraviolence, when you really listen to the instrumentals, has a great variation in it's music. The themes might be similar, but I find the album incredible and light years ahead of Born To Die.

I personally hope Honey Moon sticks with that raw sound from Lana while still evolving.

There's a reason why UV was a MASSIVE flop compared to the cool edgy majestic grand other worldly Born To Die and Paradise.

Not only the music was worse, but the music video and imagery were a hot mess compared to BTD.

Her worst song and worst video came from the Ultraviolence era. Prior to the era, there was no such thing as a "bad Lana Del Rey song" or a "bad Lana Del Rey music video".

Born To Die is so one note and flat. It's all too glossy whereas Ultraviolence is raw and the emotion feels real. Watching her sing Shades of Cool live, as the song progressed it was like watching her get beat up

For a relatively unknown artist with an era that produced no hits, Ultraviolence's 1.3 million was a smash hit compared to what most pop girls are managing today
