 | | Cascada
"Evacuate The Dancefloor" (BEST ALTERNATIVE SINGLE WINNER)
Album: Evacuate The Dancefloor
Our recently awarded group finally appears today. For me Cascada isnt exactly a group to take very serious but IMO their music is fun and their style is free and to dance along with. This song is impossible to avoid in a party. |
| | | Kate Voegele
"99 Times"
Album: A Fine Mess
This girl hit me like a school bus in the middle of the year, she's sweet, young, and talented, so IMO she's got everything to finally breakthrough someday. So you better tell your faves to be ready |
| | | Mariah Carey
"I Want To Know What Love Is"
Album: Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel
I swear it all started with the music video. If it wasnt a total disaster this song could have been epic for me, Mariah had her last chance of making a comeback and going back to her old 90s style, but they toally gave it away with this cheap ass video Anyways I'm in love with this song, so here it is. |
| | | One Republic
"All The Right Moves"
Album: Waking Up
All the right moves did all the wrong ones on charts as the first single from this band. But since I couldnt care less about sales, here it is in my countdown! I used to think of them as boring one hit wonders, but this song prooved me wrong and I'm glad it did. |
| | | The Veronicas
"Take Me On The Floor"
Album: Hook Me Up
A little too 2008 I know, but its not my fault it was just released here. At first when I heard this song I thought of it as a remake of Untouched, but well it grew on me and a lot cause now it remains as one of my favorites from these australian girls <33 |
| | | Taylor Swift
"Fifteen"
Album: Fearless
And here comes the new country princess At first I disliked the idea of this song being released as a single (I still do) but well after I saw the beautiful music video it grew on me like it was the first time I listened to it, the lyrics are so touching as usual, and you guys can sit back cause this isnt the last Taylor song in this countdown |
| | | The Ting Tings
"We Walk"
Album: We Started Nothing
I still think of this song as a guilty pleasure, cause basically it has the stupidest lyrics ever, which I totally hate in a song, but well TTT are a funny band and they're always so creative, so yeah, they deserved this spot in this countdown. Great effects in the music video btw. |
| | | Boys Like Girls feat. Taylor Swift
"Two Is Better Than One"
Album: Love Drunk
I could swear if this song was the first single from their album it would be top 10 this year. But anyways what can I say of this song? It is so beautiful, the feeling you get everytime you listen to it, the lyrics... IDK something in the air makes you feel fine somehow. I recomend it a lot.
Oh and to BLG: where the hell was Taylor when you filmed the music video? |
| | | James Morrison
"Please Don't Stop The Rain"
Album: Songs For You, Truths For Me
Who doesn't love sitting outside to watch the rain fall in those cloudy days of summer? Those kind of moments when you just enjoy being alone with yourself... Well James sings to those moments with these amazing song which I really loved, so of course it had to be here. |
| | | Kelly Clarkson
"Already Gone"
Album: All I Ever Wanted
Again this was another wrong choice of a single. And to make things worse that stupid Halo controversy was too much, I'm actually really surprised it didnt flop, but anyways let's give the song the credit it deserves and let's say it has amazing lyrics and a great sad melody that just makes you wanna cry. Another good job from Kelly. |
Results for Best Rock single and Best Upbeat Single will be announced later.
Thanks for the comments and wishes from everyone!! Same to you guys
