It's strange that Ed Sheeran reached #1 on pop and AC at the same time! Usually AC is months behind lol.

I'd bet on her releasing BB & WD, then slipping after that.

You are incorrect. Swift performed "All Too Well" at the 2014 Grammy's. "All Too Well" had charted on Hot Country Songs for one week on 10 November 2012 when the song debuted and peaked at #17. Following her performance, the song did not last very long, but it was semi-reserviced to Country radio.
"All Too Well" re-entered the Hot Country Songs Chart 08 February 2014 at 33. On 15 February, "All Too Well" climbed to 27. On 22 February, the song fell to 50, and was off of the Country Chart by 01 March. The late Wade Jessen admitted it was a very deep cut from Red, but if anyone could succeed that far into an album, it would be Swift.
"All Too Well," not "Red," was the final Country single, making ATW the third exclusively Country single (WANEGBT went to both Country and Pop), and seventh overall single from Red.

Seriously? Red is the last single from Red, WANEGBT, Begin Again, and Red are the only country single she released. HDC can also be counted as her country single tho. All Too Well only charted because its popular among country listeners and she performed it in the Grammys. Charting in Country Charts doesn't mean it was released as a single.

Yeah All Too Well was not a single, and your unnecessary paragraphs of text don't change that.

I am truly sorry for taking an offensive and nasty tone. I do not like to do that, and I certainly do not want to leave an impression that this is the kind of person I am. If I am wrong, I am wrong. I have come home from class trying to clarify this tonight.
I scaned through Bing this evening to find the passage in Billboard I was referring to earlier about "All Too Well," but the article is not coming up. However, I did find Red's Wikipedia page, and it gives seven singles too, only the seventh single is a pop song (?). And it highlights two more songs as I guess semi-releases which brings the total to nine songs. Here is the link to the page for Red: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_(Taylor_Swift_album).
Here are the seven released singles, according to Wikipedia, from Red in chronological order with the release date from the page, followed by the additional two highlighted songs that were given extra exposure of some sort. We are all in agreement with the first six. I am unsure if Friday Teenage was even aware of #7, and "All Too Well" is one of the semi-releases. Here is the link to the page for "All Too Well": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Too_Well.
The Seven Singles According To Wikipedia
1) "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" 13 August 2012; Pop & Country
2) "Begin Again" 01 October 2012; Country
3) "I Knew You Were Trouble" 27 November 2012; Pop
4) "22" 12 March 2013; Pop
5) "Red" 21 June 2013; Country
6) "Everything Has Changed" with Ed Sheeran 16 July 2013; Pop
7) "The Last Time" with Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol) 04 November 2013; Pop (this is news to me)
Then the other two highlighted songs on Wikipedia
8) "State Of Grace" 16 October 2012; Pop (Wikipedia actually lists this as Alternative Rock)
9) "All Too Well" 10 November 2012, then January & February 2014; Country

I assume this is for the 2015 Calendar Year, not Chart Year, since "Blank Space" ranks at #4 instead of #2. Did you go by chart performance; by adding impressions, downloads, and streams; or both? I wanted to do a chart for 2014 Year End Chart for Active Rock, Alternative Rock, and Country combining both methods together, but I never got the chance.

That's the 6 official and only single from Red.
The Last Time is released only in Europe, State of Grace is the fourth and last promo single of Red (Promo singles countdown to Red(album) release) while All Too Well is the one Taylor performed in the Grammys.
Well you cannot trust all the info's in Wikipedia. Anyone can edit and add up things there.

You are correct. "Highway Don't Care" apparently encouraged Big Machine Records to put Red on ice for Swift's Country fans through much of early 2013. Many artists go ahead and release a song from their own CD even when they duet with another artist from his or her release. But with McGraw also on Big Machine, the label screwed Taylor out of a hit of her from her own CD.
Luke Bryan had the Top Two songs simultaneously this past summer -- one with FGL and one by himself. Based on the song's stellar reviews, this was a perfect time to "officially" release "All Too Well" (instead of what happened with ATW after the 2014 Grammy's). HDC is likely what led to Red selling less than its predecessor. Had she dueted with a non-labelmate, she could've got another song out, and probably sold 250,000 to 300,000 copies of Red.
Once again, I am sorry for letting my temper getting to me earlier. I was wrong to do so, and now see that seven charting songs did not equal seven released singles. I will still stick to seven songs from 1989, as that is what it will take that album to hit 8 million, and be the second-best selling CD/Digital Album released since the beginning of 2005.

you may be too sweet for ATRL. Dont worry about your tone.. never feel free to drag a bitch. Some of them are so uptight and obnoxious they deserve it. I back you. Single or no single it flopped. Thats all that needs to be said.

Well, given TOL's composition it was bound to be picked up by AC pretty early. 9 weeks is pretty insane though. That must be a record for a non-holiday pop song. Roar and Blank Space took 11.
And @ Pitbull ha power.

Doesn't beat 2009.
From April 18 - October 10 (6.5 months), there were only two number one singles - Boom Boom Pow & I Gotta Feeling.

actually yes, i forget that the chart year starts in december. I'm gonna add that because i want it to be close to the actual year end chart. And just a reverse point chart system. Billboard is too vague and stingy with data these days for alladat
