The song was offered to her. And she already writes all her other music so if this was in fact not written by her I really don't think it's a big deal. She purchased rights to it already
Plus, it's a smash waiting to happen. Like about 5 of her unreleased tracks

It's too generic for me when I first heard it, and it probably comes from the fact that she didn't write the song. I hope it really was done some major overhaul. I don't believe that this is gonna be Gaga's lead single. Why would she put out a song that we've all heard before and as a lead single! (unless it's completely modified). It's so uncharacteristic of her.
