No. 25
Alicia Keys - Fallin'
Quote:
Unbelievable woman. Her talent is something else. Fallin' is not her best song, but one of them for sure tho. This song made her happen, the one that started it all. She has been consistent her whole career. Amazing musician. The low harmonies in the song are so delicious. Long life to Alicia.

Avril Lavigne - Complicated
Quote:
I love this song. Let Go is her best album in my opinion. Something I have never liked about Avril is that she goes in life like the tough rockstar when she's a popstar. But it doesn't matter as long as she delivers good music. Complicated is a song from my childhood. And I'm sure it's one of yours too. We will always remember the pretty punky little girl that used to make weird faces.

Alanis Morissette - Ironic
Quote:
I'm not that much into Alanis. But of course I know this song. Not so sure about its impact, cause I'm not familiar with her run. She's really talented tho. Sure it's not Ironic she's this high.

Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl
Quote:
The girl who kissed a girl and liked it. She will be that girl forever and ever. Being a lesbian has always been cool, but she made it cooler. Sure it wasn't the way she planned. But was it a coincidence she became one of the biggest names in music industry nowadays? Nah. She was meant to be a star. Hot N Cold will always be my favorite Katy song. But people outside of the pop world disagree with me.

Pink - Get The Party Started
Quote:
Not so sure about this, but was this song the one that started her overused formula? 90% of Pink's music has the same vibe and formula. That's why I can't get into her. Everything sounds the same or familar. And no, it doesn't mean she's being loyal to her own sound. I don't feel the song, I don't think it had impact but whatever. Sober remains unbothered.

"I Kissed a Girl" is such trash. I look back in shock now at what a huge hit it was.
If this was about quality, "Ironic" would be top five for sure.

No. 20
Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone
Quote:
Who hasn't sung along to this? Feeling like a rockstar though the song is pure pop with heavy use of guitar. Great song, it's perfectly executed. Musically, lyrically and of course vocally by one of the best singer out there right now. I'm sure 90% of the people can't hit the high Gs in the bridge. It really helped Kelly to build a momentum. It will be classic eventually.

Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
Quote:
Now, this song was everywhere. Huge song. Everyone knows the lyrics, everyone loved it. I wouldn't say it's one of the best ballads ever. It's just really catchy. A catchy ballad, that sounds weird to be honest. Beautiful voice, a good production. Too bad she couldn't get another hit and she remains a one-hit wonder as of now. The '90s was the decade for Leona, she is two decades late. She's too Mariah for the '10s.

Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl
Quote:
A few times I've been around that track, so it's not just gonna happen like that. Sure it did not. She's Gwen FCKNG Stefani. She knows what she's doing. I personally don't like this song. There are better, way better ones in the album. But it's Gwen's song after all. It just has something that makes you feel like her, yeah that sounds so weird. Kind of immature for her age but since she looks 15 years younger, who really cares? This is her SHHHHT!

Kesha - Tik Tok
Quote:
A party classic. You can say whatever you want about Kesha. But this song is genius. It wasn't a coincidence everyone was singing it everywhere, all the time. She really fits the song, it's crazy. It brings joy, happiness and such a good spirit to our souls. It's already turning into a classic. And I'm sure it will be remembered forever. She makes autotune cool. Only Kesha, who else?

Amy Winehouse - Rehab
Quote:
Amy, Amy, Amy! Genius. Everything about the song is perfect. No need for more. So sad people only cared about her once she was gone. I don't know if she is a legend. I don't think so. But sure she's an icon and she'll be remembered forever as one of the greatest musicians of all time. Her voice was so special. May she rest in peace. We will always have to say No, No, No to the idea of her being out of our minds.

Not Ke$ha ahead of Gwen. What kind of ****ery.
P.S. Cher made auto-tune cool first.

This has been such a flop. Sorry, College takes all my time.
Here is one of the last updates. Not that someone cares tho.
No. 15
Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
Quote:
The perfect definition for overrating. There's nothing great about this song. Yes, it is catchy. But that's it. The lyrics are not even good, just a distaste cliché. The production is good tho. I'm thankful Mariah recorded something without overusing her belts or super-head voice register. But mostly because she didn't feature an unknown black rapper. It's an enjoyable track and a classic in the States. But hello world, no one really cares for it.

Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like a Woman!
Quote:
I do remember this song from my childhood. I didn't know it's performed by Shania until last year tho. It is for sure a classic song. Don't know why on earth I associate this to strippers. A country girl being sexy and fierce? Who else but the queen Shania is. So sad about how her career ended. But hey, she had her moment. And what a moment! Taylor Swift, you should be taking notes. That's how you get an unbelievable crossover. And how you become a legend.

No. 13
Beyoncé - Crazy In Love
Quote:
First of all, I want to say: What kind of shi...y cover is that? Sorry, I couldn't help it. I'm certainly not a fan of this woman. But this song is flawless. Well, I don't know about Jay-Z's part. But the rest is perfect. The production is sick. She will never top this masterpiece. If only the album weren't the cr...p it actually is...

Adele - Rolling In The Deep
Quote:
Viral song. I still think it's quite high tho. We need few more years to see its real impact. The massive momentum this girl just had is out of this world. And this song was the one that started it all. Everyone knows the lyrics from start to end. Sure, she had it all. Talent hit harder once again. Can't wait for 25.

Britney Spears - Toxic
Quote:
I couldn't believe this. I thought this song was going to be top 5. Pop perfection, the second best-dance song out of the '00s. I'm not a big fan of Britney's music. But the team that made this song deserves an applause. The production is insane. The details you can her wearing headphones. Delicious, and the use of guitar and violins. Amazing! The vocals are the weakest part of the song to be honest. But it added quite a lot to the song nonetheless.

I'm okay with all of those but Crazy in Love which should be higher and Rolling in the Deep which should be lower.

Top 10 will be an interesting time. I was waiting for meltdowns but since no one really cares for the thread...
