The radio deal is a bad idea for No Doubt. If they are a popular artist, its totally fine, but with artists that Pop radio wouldn't normally play to begin with, they will drop them right after the radio deal is over.

If the song is good, poppy, catchy and radio-friendly, they won't have any problems with finding radio support after deal is over.
GMAYL didn't flop because of radio deal...it flopped simply because it's absolutely awful.

No Doubt's previous single, "It's My Life", peaked at 10 on the hot 100. They have never had a problem garnering hits.
The song is wildly catchy and perfect for multi-platform success.
For heaven's sake, its rather insulting to compare the song to GMAYL.
