+ has sold around 4M WW, x has sold 7.5M WW. He played multiple stadiums on his tour. Ed is a big star and puts a lot of the current pop girls to shame stats-wise

"Star" isn't really the first word that comes to mind when describing Ed Sheeran, anyway. And how is his release a surprise in any way when he announced it several days in advance? I don't think it's him.
He's not a star to the gays but he's v successful so he's a "star" to some people I guess. And it WAS a surprise, technically, wasn't it? When he announced the album/song/whatever? So it IS 2017's first surprise.
Ed sold out Wembley Stadium 3 times and his last album sold almost 9 million WW (more than literally anyone but Adele) and yet ATRL gays claim he's not a star aregrjh it's definitely him
