I remember my uncle who was a huge Queen fan and always looked down upon George for being a popstar totally doing a U-turn on George. He is such an AMAZING singer.
He was my hero and one of my biggest influences. I didn't cry for Amy, for Michael Jackson, for Whitney or for Prince.
But for George Michael, I have a river of tears. His work made me feel okay with my sexuality as a bisexual gay man and gave me the courage to be comfortable in how I expressed that sexuality.
RIP to him. 2016 has been horrible.
