Never gave this song a proper listen until last week. I don't like the opening notes and that turned me off.
But it's much better than I thought and there are some things in it that I haven't heard in latin music like that cut time bit at the start. But then again, I'm not that familiar with latin music so maybe that bit was nothing unusual. Still my highest rated song on the Latin album (with Una Mujer)
Now that was truly ahead of its time. Covering a soul/blues classic like that so authentically in only her second year 
Madness to me, like 20 other songs could have gone before it.
