I never said Pendulum isn't flawless, I just said it doesn't really stick out to me just yet & all the other songs are outshining it at the moment (that being said, I'm only on my 5th listen).
the album as a whole is incredible. there's no bad song.
I can't say my full impression yet It's so good! But all of her past work needed multiple listens too. Initially the songs I didn't like on EP1 and EP2 I ended up really loving more than the ones I initially did There are so many little nuisances and subtleties to her production and songs. The album is so gorgeous
On my initial listen my favorite songs are Lights On, Hours, Give Up and Kicks.
Two Weeks was really a grower for y'all? It was instantaneous love for me. Then again a lot of people also had lukewarm reactions to Video Girl, which I adore, so.

this is one of those albums that DEFINITELY lives up to the expectation... she did so well. i'm continually slain by numbers, give up, hours and lights on... this is pure sex. about to smoke one and just lay down to this sublime soundtrack of LUST
seriously that transition in numbers woooo lawd when those pads and synths just smash through and her voice floats across the sound, always gives me goosebumps.

This is what i love about her the most. She is so fresh, her music is completly new and like nothing I've ever heard before. She knows what she's doing, has her artistic vision and is great at putting it to use. She definately is foward-thinking and innovative.
yeah she is working with some real gifted producers like arca and paul epworth, and you can definitely see the fusion of both their sounds plus the touch of twigs... arca is very intense and rough, but his sound is next level, i feel like epworth provided the softness to the tracks while twigs spruced it up with her artistry.. what a great combination.
i get chills from some of her visuals.. not only is her face and body unique, but the way she manipulates and plays with the visual adds even more authentic distinction. even that one shot of her with the flower in front of her eye is striking as ****- there's a surrealist quality to her visuals which i ADORE. (don't even get me started on the album cover, brilliant)
she gives me future sade/aaliyah vibes, and to be so full-bodied and well developed already as an artist is damn impressive.
Just finished listening to the entire album. Definitely floored by Two Weeks, Numbers, Hours, Give Up, Pendulum, and Kicks. Only not totally feeling Closer, Preface, and Video Girl, but not saying they're bad either.
I think it's a tie between Two Weeks and Give Up for my favourite on the album.
