Miley will still take a while to have that Platinum album. I know her team were counting on it with all the buzz but all she did was turning away those Disney fans, i bet their moms dont want any Miley albums in their houses now.
She has 4 songs in the top 25 on iTunes, so she obviously has a lot of selling power. So I think that the album can maintain decent sales for quite some time, especially through the holiday rush

If that's "all" she did, then her sales wouldn't be increasing (let alone doubling) over her last album's opening sales. She's clearly gained a much wider audience this time around.
The level of pressedness over this girl is sickening.
We should first wait for full week sales, but i don't think JT will have bigger drop than MDNA. But it will probably enter Top 5 all time drops for #1 album.
