I didn't say it wasn't going to be controversial; anything even vaguely religious has the ability to cause people to misconstrue the true message and cause "controversy". But we don't even know the plot of the video, the costumes, or even if it is set in biblical times. All these things play a role in how controversial the video will be interpreted as.

Since last year she said this album was going to be more spiritual/religious, so it's no surprise there is a title called, "Judas."

She has an opportunity to create something memorable here. Even if it doesn't work out, her ambition is admirable.

I think its normal that at this point she hungers for attention, because as a relative newcomer, she still needs to prove that she is here to stay. But as a musical artist, she needs to find a right balance between music and her celebrity persona.

Pink failed to find this balance, as she focused mainly on the musical side and failed to gain enough controversy around her persona (especially later in her career).

But this hype and controversy are barely a good indicator that people will truly care about GaGa in the future. Fan of pop artists are as fickle as ever. If anything Pink has managed to garner respect as a musical artist.

On the contrary, I think that is the indicator of her not being self-confident. Think about the people you know. The ones that brag much are usually the ones that can do the least, so they have low self-confidence and need to reassure people how good they are, even though they know they aren't all that. Narcissists are not the most confident folks around. People who stay silent, but do their job, usually end up doing it better.
