This same discussion is happening over at Pulse. Apparently the Xtina/Maroon 5 stans don't understand that their faves aren't exactly the biggest artists at the moment. The massive updates are reserved for the artists whose last few singles have been hits. Yes, MLJ is #1 again, but radio is conservative. It's going to take them some time to warm up to playing a Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera song, no matter how much it's selling.
