Either way, I'm glad Stars Dance is the first album of the decade to hit #1 by a Disney girl. Selena continues to be an iconic sex symbol, movie star, musician, who's critically praised transition to adulthood has surpassed all of her peers, all while remaining controversy free. So happy for Selena

Im sorry but 95k for Selena is not good she is currently one of the biggest pop stars at the US maybe this album would get longetivity but so far sales are really Bad.
I think everyone in this thread is doing the most BUT congrats to Selena on her #1 album, she deserves it, she promoted hard and has a big hit on her hands.
Doubt it. If she couldn't pass 100k with a platinum, top 6 smash then I don't know if she ever will, especially since that was so rare for her.
But sis her first week sales are improving from album to album so with her next one maybe she'll have built a stronger following to get that 100k+ debut.
At the end of the day she has now a #1 cd, it's not her fault sales in general lately are **** so congrats
