I wouldnt mind the different vocal style if the song actually sounded like he tried. The verses are weak & the hook is obnoxiously repetitive. He was clearly trying to be something that he is not and it did not work

Finally listened to this for he first time and as a fan of his I am very underwhelmed by this. It sounds like he made this on autopilot with no thought or effort.
Lyrics are very repetitive and lacklustre
Beat is basic
Vocals are strange

Very disappointing.

was just about to post this. mack maine is never really completely in the know when it comes to YM projects other than wayne's so i'd take his comments with a pinch of salt tbh. whatever it is it's clearly targeted more at urban radio and his urban fans so 'street single' is probably an appropriate label regardless of whether it's an official single or not

You have a point. I agree. Drake has a lot of control. I guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of record he is thinking of using for the next single.

it'll most definitely cater more to his pop fans but hopefully in keeping with the sound of the album (like take care did as a single)

he knows how to maintain a balance between both genres without sacrificing his dignity in the process unlike some of his labelmates
