you need wifi to recieve the gift.... and you dont unlock it, you should be able to see it even before you start the game

Zebstrika? It has great Speed, good Attack and due to its Lightningrod/Motor Drive ability by far your best bet against the fourth gym leader.

Spark and arguably Flame Charge are more useful for it than Shock Wave - and it learns Wild Charge at 47 which can be seen as an electric type Take Down with better accuracy.

Even water Pokemon levels weaker than it kill it in a hit or two.

Well yeah it does have underwhelming defenses.

But who are you referring to in particular?
Swanna should be no problem and you shouldn't be using it against the Seismitoad line.

Water types are truly scarce in this game.

I don't remember it being a problem. :/

I think Blitzle is a very solid choice for an early electric type, can't really go wrong there.

If you're not satisfied with it but still want electric you can catch Tynamo in a cave after the 5th gym.

It's harder to train but it has no weaknesses because of Levitate.

i loved Pokemon when I was little. i never cared too much for buying the cards or whatever, but the show was entertaining.

Purrloin lv. 15 (thinking of getting rid of it)
Pidove lv. 10 (female...the male one's final evolution is too feminine IMO)
the water monkey (he's my HM ***** for cut/will be for surf and strength)
RESERVES:
Vanillite (i love the final form)
Foongus (maybe...i like mushrooms )
Tynamo (i like the final form...)
Klink (maybe...was never into steel)

You can catch Stunfisk in the town with the 6th gym, in actual rain puddles.

I never cared for it really, despite its interesting type it's rather weak and doesn't evolve so...yeah. :/



I wonder if a Pokemon Online based tournament would garner enough interest here.

This doesn't require friend codes. There is no entry barrier, you don't need to breed and raise your own team, you just make it in an editor - it would only revolve around the competitive aspect.

I tested it today and it even supports triple battles and has some music.

As all previous programs like Shoddy it does not feature battle animations, though.
