Lets be real, the VMAs haven't been that great for the last few years. I expect this year to be no different. It is also obvious that Taylor Swift is going to sweep this year. MTV is doing a terrible job at hyping this other than the fact that Miley is hosting. Where is the hype on who's performing?
I think they tried to pull a Beyonce, but nothing happened as they wanted. We'll get everything last minute and we wont know who's performing. That would be cool, lmfao.

They are. We already know Brit/Bey/Rih/Gaga/Katy etc. all aren't performing. They don't have any new material.
But VMAs are a mess for not having a list of performers ready. Jessie J, Rita Ora, and Charli XCX would have loved to perform there I'm sure. I probably won't even watch this year since it's already looking bad.
Even if it's last minute announcement, they'd get Selena, Omi, Bruno & Mark, Fetty Wap, Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor at best and none of these are breath-taking performers so Idk what's the point.
