This is the JAM! KAK and I are so pissed that it flopped. This sampled Michael Jackson's P.Y.T. to a tea!! Intended for her All Eyez on Me album, Monica wanted to make a feel-good song as the lead single with a little inspiration from Tupac saying, "I always liked the idea of 'all eyes on me,' even from his perspective. Because sometimes that's what our life becomes. I thought that would grab the attention of a lot of people."
Even though Monica wanted to make a song about having a good time, this was shortly after the suicide of her boyfriend back in 2000, so she wasn't really feeling enough to promote the song like the hit that it could've been. But we all still love it (some of us) Eventually, the album was scrapped, and she decided not to include it in "After the Storm" cuz she felt in didn't fit in with the album.
Buyonce said, "I remember when this was released I was expecting her to slay. I was so disappointed when it ended up being put on a Japan only album".
Side not: This gif, does anyone else besides KAK think this was something in the video as subliminal or sexual? To me, it's just a guy overflowing his gas tank because he was too busy staring at Monica

This is the song that literally beat every other song as the second single to Still Standing, including Here I Am and One in a Lifetime. Love All Over Me can be played at any weddings, it's just heavenly.
The music video for the song is where Monica met her husband, NBA star Shannon Brown. Five months later, they raced to Justice of the Peace and got married. I guess Monica didn't enjoy being alone. After Rocko broke her heart, she needed someone.... JK! She pretty much has everything she needs. Three loving children and a man!!

I gotta admit this. I have never heard this song before I started this rate. I kinda didn't want to hear after seeing where it charted, especially since it broke Monica's top 10 streak! But first listen, I was instantly hooked, especially with the line "Just another name in your little black book" and "another cheap shot gun in your Benz"!
The song was featured in the Down to Earth Soundtrack with Chris Rock. Never seen the movie, but it got terrible reviews. Still, the song is amazing!!
