I mean, NBC in the early-mid 2000s heavily featured Donald Trump. He owned the Miss Universe pageant (which was much bigger of a draw than it is now), and The Apprentice was one of the most widely watched reality shows out there. Exposing Don would be giving up the revenue that he would have created for the channel.
(I am ashamed to say that if Donald Trump returned to the Apprentice, I'd probably still watch)
